Hello World

So many things in the past week have seemed to show me an entirely new view of the world. I don't know what it is, but I have had lots of time to think about why I am here, what I am doing, where I am going, and what really matters. It has been awesome!! Every time one of these moments comes up, the song, "Hello World" by Lady Antebellum pops into my head.
  • I went to a birthday party for the little 4 year old girl that I tutor. While playing a mini game of bowling with her and her friends, one of her friends came and slipped her little hand in mine and played with us. I was reminded of how we all need a friend... Hello World.
  • One of my friends got in a terrible accident recently and literally walked away with just a few scratches. I was reminded to never take life lightly... Hello World.
  • I pass the many cemeteries that spot campus and I have thought about all those I love that have passed on and I have been able to thank God that I know He is there and that I will see them again... Hello World.
  • To have my body heal in a matter of days so I am up enjoying the world around me again reminds me that miracles are so abundant... Hello World.
  • And for the past many months, I have felt somewhat "cold as steel and broken like I'm never gonna heal" but recently I have seen that glimpse of light to remind me what it's like to feel... Hello World, Good to see you my old friend!
It is truly a blessing to be able to feel the world again.

In this previous general conference, Elder Quentin L. Cook said, "My personal experience of living and interacting with people all over the world has caused me to be optimistic. I believe that light and truth will be preserved in our time." I agree! My personal experiences here on earth have caused me to be optimistic too.
There is so much good in this world we live in!

Traffic crawls
Cell Phone Calls
Talk radio screams at me through my tinted window
I see a little girl, rust red minivan
She's got chocolate on her face
Got little hands, and she waves at me, yeah she smiles at me.

Well Hello World
How you been?
Good to see you my old friend
Sometimes I feel, Cold as steel
Broken like I'm never gonna heal
I see a light, a little hope in a little girl, Well Hello World

Everyday I drive by a little white church,
its got these little white crosses like angels in the yard
Maybe I should stop on in, say a prayer
Maybe talk to God like he is there
Oh I know he's there, Yeah I know he's there

Well Hello World
How you been?
Good to see you my old friend,
Sometimes I feel as Cold as steel
And broken like I'm never gonna heal
I see a light, a little grace, little faith unfurl.
Well Hello World

Sometimes I forget what living's for, And i hear my life through my front door,
and I'll be there,
oh I'm home again
I See my wife, little boy, little girl, Hello World

Hello World
All the empty disappears
I remember why I'm here
Just surrender and believe
I fall down on my knees
Oh Hello World, Hello World, Hello World

Here is the music video for Hello World. If you haven't seen it, you should watch it! It's awesome!
